In Celje, Slovenia, we designed, manufactured and built the new Bolderaj bouldering wall. The total climbing area of 500 m² includes a variety of climbing profiles for different levels and styles of climbing.
The climbing wall structure is made of wooden truss frames. The wall cladding consists of precisely CNC-machined panels made from 18 mm thick plywood.
The design of the wall largely preserves the natural appearance of the plywood. The transparent finish is complemented by minimalist light grey sections. We applied our Solid Coating surface finish to the panels to provide durability and suitable friction properties while preserving the natural texture of the plywood.
The project also included a Kilter Board 12 × 12 with electrically adjustable angle from 20° to 70°. The system is floor-mounted and includes the complete frame structure and panel cladding.
For safety and comfort in the event of a fall, the matting is equipped with 250 mm thick N2542 foam with a carpet covering.
