When designing climbing mat, we take into account the height, angle and shape of the bouldering wall, as well as the possibility of falls to the sides. The solution is designed in accordance with the requirements of EN 12572-2:2017, including the requirements for the extent of the impact-absorbing flooring.
The climbing mat must provide sufficient energy absorption in the event of a fall and cover the area where a climber may land during climbing. Its shape and dimensions are therefore adapted to the specific wall design.
We manufacture our impact-absorbing flooring in thicknesses of 250 and 300 mm, with two surface options – carpet or PVC.
Carpet matting is primarily intended for larger indoor bouldering walls and climbing centres. It is permanently fixed to the floor and does not move during use.
The impact-absorbing flooring can be adapted to the shape and layout of the space. For larger areas, individual sections are joined using special carpet joining strips, ensuring a continuous connection across the entire impact-absorbing flooring.
The carpet has a weight of 900 g/m² and is made of 100% polypropylene, forming a durable top layer of the impact-absorbing flooring.
The carpet surface provides greater stability upon landing and reduces the risk of slipping during uncontrolled landings from height or at an angle.
The carpet top layer helps distribute the impact force across the underlying layers of the impact-absorbing flooring.
The carpet captures some of the excess chalk dust from climbing shoes and hands, helping to reduce its spread throughout the space. Regular cleaning with an industrial vacuum cleaner is sufficient for routine maintenance.
The carpet protects the internal foam layers from mechanical damage. It also absorbs some sound and helps reduce echo, landing noise and overall noise levels in the facility.
PVC impact-absorbing flooring is primarily intended for smaller bouldering walls in schools, sports halls and multifunctional spaces. It can be permanently installed or made from individual blocks that can be moved or stored when needed. The individual blocks, as well as the joints between them, are connected using a strong joining strip, ensuring a continuous and stable impact-absorbing flooring surface.
The use of high-weight PVC allows the surface to withstand intensive mechanical load during everyday use.
The smooth PVC surface is easy to maintain. Chalk, sweat, drinks or other dirt can simply be wiped off with a damp cloth or mop.
The PVC surface is resistant to moisture and accidental contact with water or other liquids.
The impact-absorbing flooring can be assembled from individual blocks and adapted to the specific shape and layout of the space. The individual blocks are connected using strong joining strips.
The individual blocks can be moved or stored when needed, making this a practical solution for schools, sports halls and other spaces that are also used for other activities.
