Limit Boulder in České Budějovice is another modern climbing project from our workshop, featuring a climbing surface made exclusively from the natural texture of plywood.
The total climbing area of 600 m² includes various types of climbing profiles, from simpler vertical sections to vertical walls designed for powerful bouldering.
The climbing wall structure is made of wooden trusses. We design the shape and position of each truss using specialised software. Each unique truss is then individually assessed, including its individual members and connections, with regard to the loads acting on the structure.
The wall cladding consists of 18 mm thick plywood panels, which we manufacture using CNC technology. The panels are treated with a two-component parquet lacquer, helping to ensure long-term durability and resistance even under intensive use of the climbing wall.
We then apply our Solid Coating surface finish to the panels, a finish developed specifically for climbing walls. It balances surface friction and durability while preserving the plywood’s natural texture. It also helps reduce rubber marks on the surface during use.
